Q: Hi Nikita, how are you doing today?

I am good thank you! Another Thursday here at GG56 Korea, and I’m excited about the projects on my plate.

Q: Before jumping into your role at GG56 Korea, could you introduce yourself?

Sure! My name is Nikita Liakhovka and I grew up in Vladivostok, the Far East capital of Russia, my upbringing was influenced by the diverse cultures of China, Japan, and Korea. This multicultural environment led me to pursue higher education in South Korea. After earning my BBA and MBA from Solbridge Business School in Daejeon, the allure of the web world became irresistible. Now at GG56, I wear multiple hats—handling web development tasks, diving into technical details, and contributing to design decisions. It’s a crazy, fun ride, and I’m loving every minute of it!

Q: And what do you do exactly at GG56 Korea?

I’m basically the go-to person for all things web development. My main gig involves managing our websites, dashboards, and more. I am also often involved in design-related discussions with the team, where I get to flex my expertise and bring agreed-upon concepts to life. Basically, with the marketing team, we are behind the company’s digital presence.

I also try my best to maintain a smooth relationship with our awesome technical partners. You can also find me monitoring our projects and being the go-to tech guy for the team whenever there’s a tricky situation.

Q: Seems fun! What do you sometimes find challenging in your job?

I think the most challenging part of my job is to keep everyone on board, meaning making sure that people understand technological limitations and deadlines. Of course, I face technical challenges, but the true test is to make sure everyone understands what is going on.

Q: It must be hard to keep up with all the new technologies and trends. How do you keep up to date with everything?

Well, I have a daily tech checklist at work – my go-to resources, a tech buffet of essentials, and intriguing technologies. There’s also my lineup of must-watch YouTube channels. It’s how I stay plugged into the pulse of the latest in tech.

Passion keeps the learning journey alive even after landing a job. The dynamic field ensures it never stops; new technologies emerge daily, pushing you to stay at the top of your game.

Q:What do you find rewarding about your job?

It just feels incredible whenever I can improve the overall performance or workflow – going from 20 steps to just one or two. It just feels awesome!

Q: How was the interview process when you joined GG56 Korea?

It went quite smoothly. The interview was a two-way conversation where I had the chance to ask a few things of my own. I also could directly show my expertise, by discussing current and future challenges with the interviewers. For example, how they could improve their website’s performance and so-on.

Q: A quick last one, what is your favorite app and why?

If I were to treat a web browser as an app, hands down, it’s the ultimate portal to anything. When it comes to specific content, I’d go with YouTube for almost everything and Instagram for a daily dose of memes.

That’s it from Nikita for today! Keep an eye on our social media (LinkedIn and Facebook) and blog for more insights into our team here at GG56 Korea.
