Han Seung-soo at the United Nations: Turning Dialogue into Action
In a world fraught with challenges ranging from conflict zones like Ukraine and Gaza to the ever-looming specter of climate change, the need for global cooperation and decisive action has never been more apparent and important for our future. Recently, at the United Nations General Assembly meeting in Doha, global leaders came together to address these pressing issues. Among them was our founder, Han Seung-soo, whose presence marked another important step in the right direction.
His Excellency Denis Francis, President of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly , highlighted the importance of turning dialogue into action, rebuilding trust, and working towards a more peaceful and sustainable future amidst immense challenges from Ukraine to Gaza.
Han Seung-soo, not only the founder of our organization but also the President of The Council of Presidents of the United Nations General Assembly, played a significant role during this gathering. Alongside other members of the Council, he was warmly welcomed by His Highness the Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the Emiri Diwan. During this meeting, Han Seung-soo and other members of the Council engaged in discussions focusing on mutual interests, with particular attention to developments in the Middle East. Their talks also centered around collaborative efforts aimed at addressing regional and international challenges.
In today’s world, where crises can quickly escalate and global cooperation is more critical than ever, Han Seung-soo’s presence at the United Nations General Assembly serves as a reminder of our founder’s commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and, most importantly, turning words into actions.
